 TO TOP FINANCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE POST
 STERLING, Va., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Star Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRR) today announced the appointment of Edward J. Larese as vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer. In this new position at Star, Larese will direct all corporate financial and administrative functions. Larese will be responsible for day-to-day finance, planning and administrative operations, and will additionally serve as corporate treasurer and secretary.

With more than 33 years of impressive credentials, Ed has earned his reputation as a results-oriented business strategist, an experienced financier and a solid accounting professional."
 Prior to joining Star, Larese served as executive vice president and CFO for Finalco Group, Inc., a large publicly held national leasing and financial services company, where he successfully guided the company through a complete transition of equity businesses and acquired $750 million in financings. Previously, Larese served as vice president at IU International, where he directed corporate planning and financial operations for this international conglomerate.
 Larese has also served as president and CEO of several regional airlines, including Dolphin Airways and Altair Airlines. He also spent 11 years at Eastern Airlines (1965-1976) in various progressively responsible financial management positions including vice president and controller.
 Larese also spent eight years in the New York City office of the international accounting firm Price Waterhouse. Larese is a graduate of Duke University with a degree in accounting and a licensed certified public accountant.
