STAR BANK CLEVELAND NAMES NEW REGIONAL PRESIDENT

 CLEVELAND, Nov. 25 ~PRNewswire~ -- Clark A. Rechkemmer will become regional president of Star Bank, Cleveland, effective Dec. 31. He replaces Edward J. McKeon, who has been president since 1990 and has resigned to pursue other interests. Previously, McKeon had been president of Star Bank's Columbus region.
 Rechkemmer, 46, has been head of wholesale banking for Star's Cleveland region since March, responsible for commercial lending in Northeast Ohio.
 Prior to joining Star, Rechkemmer had been senior vice president of business banking for Ameritrust Company in Cleveland. Rechkemmer's duties included diversified commercial lending and management. Society Bank purchased Ameritrust earlier this year.

 Star Bank is a subsidiary of Cincinnati-based Star Banc Corporation (NASDAQ~NMS: STRZ).  Star opened its first branch in Northeast Ohio in 1988. With the purchase of 28 Society and Ameritrust branches earlier this year, the Cleveland region of Star Bank has expanded to 31 locations in Cuyahoga and Lake Counties with $900 million in deposits. Local headquarters are at 6500 Rockside Rd., Independence, Ohio.
 Based on return and risk factors, Star Banc Corporation ranks 12th in overall performance among the 100 largest banking companies in the United States Banker Magazine 1992 listing of the country's soundest financial institutions.
 Rechkemmer and his wife, Ellie, live in Brecksville, Ohio. They have two children, Anne, 13 and Robert, 18. Rechkemmer is a member of the Cleveland Area Development Finance Corporation (CADFC), an affiliate of the Greater Cleveland Growth Association.
