 VALUED AT $37.8 MILLION FROM U.S. ARMY
 SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Stanford Telecommunications Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: STII) reported today that it has received a contract consisting of a five-month base period, with four one-year options, totaling $37,766,342 for support to the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) Operations Control System (DOCS). Under this contract, Stanford Telecom's Colorado Springs-based division will provide continued on-site operations, maintenance, and training services as well as depot level maintenance support for DSCS operations and control centers located around the world. Post Deployment Software Support will also be provided under this contract to the DOCS Software Maintenance Facility located at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey.
 Stanford Telecom's Colorado-based Government Services Division is a primary supplier of quality engineering and technical services to the U.S. Government, providing engineering support services at over 40 Military Satellite Communications facilities located in the continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska, and in nine foreign countries.
 Stanford Telecom designs, manufactures and operates electronic systems primarily for aerospace programs for government, international and commercial customers. These systems provide a variety of functions including communications, satellite navigation, earth observation and tracking, telemetry and control for fixed stations as well as mobile and airborne users. The company is also a commercial supplier of high performance, Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) chips and ASIC-based chip sets and modules to the spread spectrum wireless communications and digital narrowband telecommunications markets.
