STAN ROGOW ENTERS INTO MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH PARAMOUNT PICTURES
HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Producer Stan Rogow has entered into a multi-year agreement with Paramount Pictures under which he will develop and produce both television and features, it was announced today.
Under the terms of the agreement, Rogow will be exclusive to Paramount for television, while having a first-look arrangement on the feature side.
"Stan Rogow has a gift for finding, producing and promoting quality projects that have wide commercial appeal," said Paramount Chairman Brandon Tartikoff. "He is a welcome addition to the growing list of producers making their home at Paramount."
Rogow is currently developing two TV projects with John Byrum, and was the executive producer of Paramount's "All I Want for Christmas," a 1991 holiday season release.
Previously, Rogow had been with NBC Productions since 1989, where he had an exclusive agreement developing and producing series and movies of the week. While at NBC Productions, Rogow co-created (with John Sayles) and executive produced the critically acclaimed "Shannon's Deal," as well as the two-hour pilot "Out of Season" (which aired as the television movie "Murder in High Places").
Before that, as executive vice president of Syzygy Productions, Rogow produced "Playing For Time," the Arthur Miller-written CBS special that won five Emmys. Additionally, he was the producer of the Emmy- nominated pilot for the NBC series "Fame" and produced the 1984 feature "Clan of the Cave Bear."
Paramount Pictures is part of the entertainment operations of Paramount Communications Inc.
