The 32 papers accepted for the August 2012 symposium present new developments in machine learning, data mining, constraint satisfaction problems, belief propagation, logic and reasoning, multi-agent systems, and games. The predominantly European researchers enhance coalition formation in multi-agents when agents plan their activities, identify geographic events and processes in spatio-temporal data, model temporal aspects of contract net protocol using timed colored petri nets, and schedule hybrid domains. Other topics include set-labeled diagrams for CSP compilation, a two-phase bidirectional heuristic search algorithm, tools for finding inconsistencies in logic-based systems, and a norm compliance temporal logic model checker.
