STACKING YARD DEBRIS NEAR POWER POLES OR IN FPL POWER LINE EASEMENTS
WILL SLOW ELECTRIC SERVICE RESTORATION EFFORTS
MIAMI, Aug. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- FPL crews are reporting that piles of yard debris and other trash stacked near power line poles or where power line poles used to be is slowing their ability to get electric service restored.
Please keep all utility easements -- areas under power lines either in the front or rear of your home or business -- clear of all debris.
FPL is NOT recommending that customers attempt to remove debris that the storm may have deposited in and around electrical equipment -- especially downed power lines. FPL ONLY asks that you not add to any debris in these areas as it will slow the task of getting to downed power poles, lines and transformers that need to be replaced or repaired.
NOTE: Please share this information with your neighbors so that we can maximize our effort when we reach your neighborhood.
