ST. MARY'S MEDICAL CENTER AND AFFILIATES PURCHASE FULL SUITE OF CLIENT/SERVER FINANCIAL AND HUMAN RESOURCES APPLICATIONS FROM ROSS SYSTEMS

 REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROSS) recently announced that St. Mary's Medical Center and Affiliates, Racine, Wis., has purchased Ross' Renaissance CS(TM) Financial Series, the Human Resource CS(TM) Series, and extensive services, as well as Ross' fourth generation application development environment, GEMBASE(TM), in a contract valued at more than $500,000.
 Ross Systems, Inc. recently introduced the Renaissance CS Series, a suite of tightly integrated financial products built on a relational database and designed for client/server processing in an open systems environment. Today, Ross Systems develops and markets a broad range of business solutions in the following open systems environments: Digital's Alpha AXP architecture, Open VMS and OSF/1; Hewlett-Packard's HP-UX and MPE/iX; and client server. Ross products encompass financial, human resources and distribution systems, as well as manufacturing and public sector applications, complemented by a fourth generation application development language.
