SSH Communications Security launches new authentication software.
The Finnish-based Internet security solutions developer SSH Communications Security has introduced an authentication software product called SSH Accession.
The new software, which is part of the company's SSH Certifier public key infrastructure (PKI) product family, provides client-side authentication functionality through smart cards and tokens that allow access only to authorised parties.
SSH Accession can either be implemented as part of other solutions from SSH Communications Security or as a standalone solution for use with e-mail applications and Internet browsers. It can also be deployed with other third-party PKI products.
The SSH product is available immediately for Windows 98/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP and Linux platforms. Pricing details were not disclosed.
