SQA Suite Voted Best Automated Client/Server Test Tool for 1996.

For the Third Consecutive Year, SQA Wins the DBMS Magazine Readers' Choice
Award for Best Client/Server Application Testing.

BURLINGTON, Mass., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- SQA(R), Inc. (Nasdaq: SQAX), the leader in automated testing for Windows client/server applications, today announced that SQA Suite was voted the number one Client/Server Application Testing Tool in the 1996 DBMS Readers' Choice Awards poll. SQA Suite was selected for the award based on the votes of DBMS readers, approximately 85,000 IS professionals who plan, build, and deploy today's client/server and Internet/Intranet applications. Other winners in more than 20 categories included Powersoft, Sybase, Oracle, Microsoft, Borland, IBM, IBM/Lotus Development, Hewlett-Packard, Centerview, SAP America, LogicWorks, and Seagate.

This is the third consecutive year that SQA has won the DBMS Readers' Choice Award for the best client/server test tool. SQA is the only test tool vendor to have won this award since its inception. For the sixth annual Readers' Choice Award poll, DBMS readers were asked to select their favorite products in 21 categories of client/server database products, including Web- database integration tools, database application development tools, DBMS servers, decision support and OLAP tools, CASE and modeling tools, testing tools, and a variety of related products. Award winners will be announced with a special spread in the December issue of DBMS magazine.

"We are especially proud to win the DBMS Readers' Choice Award again, because it comes directly from customers," said Ron Nordin, president and CEO at SQA, Inc. "Automated testing has become a critical component of successful client/server deployment, and customers are looking for a complete solution for automated software quality (ASQ). In fact, for three years in a row thousands of users have ranked SQA as number one."

"The professional client/server and Internet developers who read DBMS voted for these winning products because they work in complex, real-world environments," said Maurice Frank, DBMS editor. "This was not an artificial evaluation in a lab." DBMS publisher David Kalman emphasized the importance of the Readers' Choice Award to recipients. "DBMS readers are the key influences in corporate IS. Winning this prestigious award proves that your product has gained critical acceptance among the IS professionals who plan, build, and deploy today's client/server and Internet/Intranet applications."
