SPRINT VIDEO INTRODUCES "SQUARE ONE" PROGRAM
SPRINT VIDEO INTRODUCES "SQUARE ONE" PROGRAM KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 13, 1991 -- Sprint Video(sm) has developed
a comprehensive program called "Square One" to assist customers in the introduction, implementation and internal promotion of videoconferencing.
This innovative program is designed to build acceptance of videoconferencing with new users, or to assist companies wishing to maximize usage of existing videoconferencing capabilities. It is based on Sprint's 10 years of experience in videoconferencing. "Organizations making the investment in videoconferencing want to use it to increase productivity, reduce travel time and expenses," said Sam Gosline, Sprint Video's manager of training and usage development. "Enthusiasm is a key ingredient in the successful implementation and ongoing support of videoconferencing." Square One is a turnkey package which provides all of the on-site training, open-houses, executive briefings, educational literature, newsletter support, payroll stuffers, posters and brochure covers to promote videoconferencing. The program covers a 90-day period and sells for $3,000 per site. "Evaluation and service implementation is only part of the videoconferencing launch equation," said Tina Mayland, director of sales and marketing for Sprint Video. "The other key to success is how fast employees embrace videoconferencing and begin using it as an enhanced productivity tool. "Square One is the only program of its kind and is designed to help our new and existing customers get the most out of their system. It is a key part of Sprint Video's end-to-end videoconferencing solution." The program was developed at the request of many new videoconferencing users who said they initially underestimated the internal promotion required to effectively launch the new service. Square One offers a comprehensive, cost-effective approach to developing usage. Sprint Video operates the world's largest videoconferencing network over the nation's first 100-percent digital, fiber-optic network. The Sprint Video also offers services including equipment sales and maintenance, project management, user-training programs and access to over 1100 videoconferencing rooms around the world. Users of Sprint's videoconferencing services include many Fortune 500 companies, colleges, universities and government agencies. Sprint is a unit of United Telecommunications, Inc. (NYSE: UT), a diversified international telecommunications company with $8.7 billion in revenues. Sprint, with the United States' only nationwide all-digital, fiber-optic network, provides a comprehensive array of global voice, data and video communications products and services. -0- 11/13/91 /CONTACT: Steve Dykes, 202-828-7435 or, after hours, 703-242-1769; or Angela Peacock, 202-828-7415 or, after hours, 301-564-4984, both of Sprint/ (UT) CO: Sprint ST: Missouri IN: TLS SU: PDT SB -- DC011 -- 3871 11/13/91 10:55 EST
