SPRINT SPONSORS BRITISH AIRWAYS IN-FLIGHT AUDIO PROGRAM
WASHINGTON, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint (NYSE: FON) today announced that it will sponsor "On Top of the World," a new in-flight audio channel for British Airways overseas flights. The hour-long audio talk show will be hosted by David Frost and will feature well- known arts and entertainment, sports and political personalities talking about their travel experiences and exploits.
For the next 12 months, British Airways passengers selecting Skysound Channel 1 will be able to hear the hour-long program. The first show, airing in October, features interviews with British actor Michael Caine and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Plans for upcoming months include Frost interviews with actor Michael Palin, author Frederick Forsyth and actor Roger Moore.
"Sprint's 'On Top of the World' is an important component of a communications campaign that we are launching to reach the international traveler," said Andrew Burroughs, vice president of Global Marketing for Sprint International, Sprint's global telecommunications subsidiary.

We believe that the travel industry can add value to its customer service by providing a way to keep in touch.
"Our international strategy is based on partnerships and this sponsorship program marks the beginning of a new partnership with one of the world's leading airlines -- British Airways."
Sprint will be demonstrating its full range of products and services for the travel industry at the World Travel Market, London, Nov. 17-20.
