 SPRINT RECOGNIZED AGAIN BY WORKING MOTHER MAGAZINE
 KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint (NYSE: FON) has


been named one of the 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers in 1992 for the second consecutive year by Working Mother magazine, according to an announcement today.
 The Working Mother 100 are considered the country's most innovative and advanced firms in support of working families. Published in the October issue, companies are ranked according to the following criteria:
 -- pay
 -- opportunities for women to advance
 -- support for child care
 -- family-friendly benefits
 -- family-friendly benefits
 Sprint was recognized for its "impressive work/family program, flexible work schedules, generous relocation assistance, help with elder care placement and a one-year family leave." In addition, the company was lauded for its "ongoing commitment to diversity in its work force and has pledged that opportunities to advance will be available to women, minorities and employees with disabilities.

 The Working Mother recognition comes a few months after Sprint was notified it will be profiled in an upcoming book, "The 100 Best Companies for Minorities." The book is co-authored by Lawrence Otis Graham and Pamela Alexis Thomas.
