 SPRINT NAMES KILGORE TO GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS POST
 WASHINGTON, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint (NYSE: FON) today


announced that Gregory Kilgore has been named director of Government Affairs, effective April 15.
 Kilgore will represent Sprint before Congress and various federal government agencies, especially with respect to the FTS2000 contract, as well as other procurements.
 Kilgore has been a member of the U.S. House of Representatives Government Operations Committee's Minority Professional Staff for the last four years. Before his congressional experience, he served as director of Government Relations for the Scientific Apparatus Makers Association from 1986-88.
 "We are extremely pleased that Kilgore is joining our team," said Patricia Diaz Dennis, Sprint's vice president of Government Affairs. "He brings a wealth of experience, expertise and enthusiasm to Sprint. He will be an important asset to help Sprint better serve the government's telecommunications needs and achieve even greater successes."
 Kilgore was born in St. Louis and is a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have one daughter and live in Olney, Md.
