 SPRINT INTRODUCES 'THE MOST,' A UNIQUE CALLING PLAN
 THAT ELIMINATES RESIDENTIAL CALLING RESTRICTIONS
 KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint (NYSE: FON) today unveiled an unprecedented new long distance calling plan called "The Most" that is designed to break the telecommunication industry's restrictive chains imposed by traditional residential calling plans. The program is available now for all customers.
 The Most will save Sprint customers 20 percent off an already low rate on their calls each month to whomever they talk to the most, including international calls, in a given month -- even if the called person is with a competitive long distance carrier. The Most also will provide automatic 20 percent discounts on all calls to Sprint's millions of customers -- anytime and anywhere.
 When the most frequently called number in a given month is a Sprint customer, Sprint will combine both discounts for an effective overall savings of 36 percent on calls to that number.
 With "The Most," customers do not have any plan restrictions on receiving discounts and are not limited to a calling circle or limited calling area. They can call anyone, anytime, anywhere, with no minimums, maximums or restrictions. The introduction of the plan will be supported by a major advertising campaign featuring Sprint spokesperson Candice Bergen starting today.
 "Traditional calling plans have placed major restrictions on customers in terms of whom they call, when they call and where they call, but 'The Most' breaks those restrictive chains by offering customers a savings plan that is on the customer's terms," said Dave Schmieg, president of Sprint's Consumer Services Group. "The magic of 'The Most' is its adaptability and simplicity. Savings are automatic and without restrictions -- for anyone, anywhere, anytime.
 "When you consider 'The Most's' ability to adjust to fit travel schedules, vacations and a wide variety of personal circumstances that can influence calling patterns, it has no peer in the industry."
 The Most automatically provides two types of savings:
 -- A 20 percent discount to whatever number is called the most in each month -- in-state, state-to-state, international and FONCARD calls. The most frequently called number can change every month as a customer's calling habits change.
 -- A 20 percent discount on all calls to any of Sprint's millions of residential customers -- anytime and any place. Customers don't have to impose on friends and family members to sign up and be trapped in a limited calling circle for discounts.
 And again, if the most frequently called number is also a Sprint customer, the combined overall savings is 36 percent.
 "The Most eliminates the restrictions imposed by our competitors on their customers that tell them who they must call for discounts, when, where and how often," said Schmieg. "Residential customers are thoroughly confused by the maze of complicated calling plans in the marketplace today. This one ends that confusion once and for all."
 A Sprint customer on The Most plan making $20 in long distance calls to a particular number in a month would save 20 percent ($4), automatically reducing the cost to $16. If the number called belongs to a Sprint customer, then another 20 percent would be taken off the $16 charge, reducing it to just $12.80.
 "This is not just the latest calling program offered by a long distance company. This is the one that sets the industry standard for simplicity and savings," said Schmieg. "Customers wanted a calling plan that fits their individual calling needs. The Most does that."
