SPORTSCENE FOUNDER ELECTED CANADA'S 'RESTAURATEUR OF THE YEAR'
MONTREAL, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- At the nineteenth annual Top Management Night held in Toronto by the Canadian Food Service Executives Association, Mr. Georges Durst, CEO of Sportscene Restaurants Inc., the publicly traded owner of La Cage aux Sports, was awarded the Silver Goblet by Mrs. Heather Oliver, executive publisher of Canadian Hotel and Restaurant Magazine. During his presentation, C.H.& R.'s editor, Mr. Jerry Tutunjian, remarked "our magazine congratulates the king of Sportscene Restaurants Inc. for his untiring perseverance, brilliant vision and his knack for the successful, albeit unusual, marketing tactics. We should be grateful to Mr. Durst for his job creation efforts." Indeed, Sportscene hires more than 2700 employees and continues to offer career opportunities through its expansion.
