WILL Wright's Spore on PC was one of last year's better games. This spin-off takes the creature creation feature and wraps a basic adventure around it with mixed results. You begin as a newly hatched creature and as you progress through the game, you collect parts which can be used to personalise your character. BBCiPlayer will available on service at of the It's be The problem is the adventure never really gets going as it's all very basic. A game structure is also lacking, leading to dead ends and head-scratching. While the creature creation tool is fun, the lack of proper focus spoils the package. The appeal of Spore lay in its varied creation tools and excellent Space Stage. As a result, this offering feels shallow and unimaginative. What a pity.
