SPEEDWAY: Pedersen to miss Brandon battle.

KING'S LYNN captain Nicki Pedersen has been ruled out of Saturday's Elite League fixture with Coventry at Brandon. The Danish rider broke a small bone in his wrist in Saturday's Norwegian Grand Prix at Hamar, and was told of the fracture at a Harley Street clinic yesterday.

He now faces a race to be fit for the second Grand Prix at Bydgoszcz in Poland a week on Saturday, and King's Lynn boss Nigel Wagstaff was today considering his options over a guest for this weekend.

Wagstaff was also awaiting news on Australian Under 21 champion Travis McGowan, who had to pull out of the Triangular Tournament at the Norfolk Arena last night with chicken pox.

The Whale Toyota Bees, meanwhile, have booked Oxford skipper Steve Johnston as a guest for the injured Lee Richardson

o PIOTR PROTASIEWICZ and Jaroslaw Hampel have been named as the two wild-cards at the Polish Grand Prix on May 25.
