SPEEDWAY: Bees sign up new recruit.

NEW Coventry Bees recruit Chris Harris checked in at Brandon yesterday to sign his contract for the 2004 Elite League season.

Harris has joined the club for a five-figure fee from Ramsden Sports Promotions, the company run by former Peterborough promoters Jim Lynch and Ian Jarvis.

Bees won the chase to sign the 21-year-old Cornishman, despite competition for several other clubs, and the former Trelawny and Peterborough hotshot becomes the first rider to agree terms with the Bees for next season.
