SPECTRUM ANNOUNCES DSP SALES FOR NOISE CANCELLATION AND PRECISION MICROSCOPES

 BURNABY, British Columbia, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Spectrum Signal Processing Inc. (NASDAQ: SSPIF; Vancouver: SSY), the North American leader in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) development systems, today announced it has been awarded a contract in excess of $325,000 Cdn. for products to be used in the development of noise cancellation applications. The industry leading purchaser will be utilizing Spectrum's DSP technology to cancel engine room noise on ships which will be of significant benefit to industrial and military markets.
 Spectrum also announced a sale exceeding $500,000 Cdn. to a leading OEM specializing in precision microscopes. Spectrum's products will be integrated in the OEM's scan probe microscope used in automated scanning of semiconductors.
