 TO MIDWESTERN TRAVELERS
ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- USAir will offer special low fares for travel between eight Midwestern cities and the rest of the domestic USAir system, with many of the flights making connections via the new ultra-modern Midfield Terminal at the Pittsburgh International Airport.
Travelers from these eight cities will receive a 25 percent discount off of tickets purchased between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2 for travel between Oct. 1 and Dec. 15. The cities are Kalamazoo, Flint, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Milwaukee, Madison, Fort Wayne and Omaha.
In addition, a special fare for travel between these cities and southern and central Florida points will be $238 roundtrip. Travelers must stay at their destinations through at least the first Sunday following the beginning of their trip. Tickets are non-refundable, and a $25 fee will be charged for reissuing in the event of a change in dates of travel or itinerary. There is no advance purchase requirement.
The new $750 million Pittsburgh Midfield Terminal will open Oct. 1. It features state-of-the-art passenger service facilities such as computerized baggage sorting and transfer systems, spacious concourses with skylights and moving sidewalks and an Air Mall, a collection of regional, national and international retailers offering goods and services at "street" prices.
USAir offers frequent daily jet flights between each of these eight Midwestern cities and Pittsburgh, all of which make a variety of connections to destinations included in the special fare program.
