SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS -- CHEVY'S AUTO SHOW EXHIBIT
NEW YORK, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Chevrolet -- the industry leader

in anti-lock brake (ABS) availability for 1992 -- will feature special attractions at the 1992 New York International Automobile Show, Jacob Javits Convention Center, New York, N.Y., April 18-26, 1992.
Special features at the show will include:
-- SIZIGI (pronounced SI-za-gee) may well be the next generation of Chevrolet's Lumina APV family van. One of its features is track seating, which allows all seats to be pushed forward so that a 4-foot- square area is available for hauling. Other features are reversible seat cushions, dual sunroofs, a sliding table with a TV and VCR and interior halo lighting.
-- STING RAY III is a redesigned Chevrolet Corvette, cloaked in a deep purple paint and sporting dramatically arched headlights. The pedals and gauges move -- rather than the seat -- to accommodate each driver. Armrests and the center console also are adjustable.
-- CONCEPT GEO is Chevrolet's future glimpse of a sophisticated sports sedan that shares sheetmetal treatments of some of the best Japanese and European luxury sedans. Aerodynamic refinements include doors integrated into roof headers. One-piece body panels provide high- quality fit and finish.
-- MAGIC TRACKERS provide an entertaining way to see five customized versions of Chevrolet's popular Geo Tracker. The "magic" occurs on a stage that can hold only two Trackers. (This exhibit is a "must see" for anyone attending the show.)
-- CHUCKWAGON is Chevy's full-size "Dooley" Pickup with an eye- popping paint scheme. The truck bed is outfitted with a chuckwagon-type canopy and cooking equipment for feeding a work crew.
-- CORSICA, Chevrolet's compact family sedan, has some of its parts cut away so that a narrator and a videotape can better explain that car's outstanding safety features. From Corsica's standard driver's- side airbag to its anti-lock brakes, the exhibit explains safety terms that consumers have heard -- but may not have understood.
THE POPULAR MECHANICS METRO is a Geo Metro that made a 2,993-mile cross-country trip from New York to San Francisco with writers from Popular Mechanics magazine. They spent only $64 on gas.
 --------------
-- ALTERNATE FUEL VEHICLES that are available right now are shown in Chevy's exhibit. The Variable Fuel Vehicle Chevrolet Lumina is the first methanol/gasoline vehicle ever offered for sale to the public in the U.S. About 1,200 have already been produced primarily for the California market. The CNG Pickup is the first Chevy Full-size Pickup equipped to run on compressed natural gas. It is being offered initially only to fleet customers.
-- MOTORSPORTS is an exciting part of Chevrolet's auto show exhibit. Featured vehicles include a Lumina that runs in the NASCAR racing series, an Indy-style car that participates in the CART races and the Chevy Full-size Pickup that won its class at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb.
-- BICYCLE TRICKS will be performed by nationally acclaimed BMX bicycle champion Andy Grayson who has appeared on "The Tonight Show" and "The David Letterman Show." Grayson will perform at Chevrolet's Suburban and Blazer display.
-- HORIZON is a contemporary dancing and singing quartet that Chevrolet will feature at its display celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Camaro. The exhibit highlights the Camaro's three generations plus a special 25th anniversary model.
