With the ACIS 3D modeling kernel as the foundation of ABAQUS/CAE, users can create moderately complex analysis models, consisting of solids, surfaces, and curves, and extend CAD models imported from other ACIS-enabled applications. ABAQUS/CAE extends common CAD concepts like parameters, features, and regeneration to advanced nonlinear analysis. Multiple models representing deformable and rigid bodies can be assembled, and analysis features, such as material properties and loading conditions, can be applied to the geometry.
