SPARE A pounds 1M ZETA; It's not much to you say charity pupils.
A GROUP of schoolgirls has challenged Catherine Zeta-Jones to help starving kids after the actress said pounds 1million was not a significant amount of money to her.
They are urging the multi-millionairess to help poor and hungry children in a hilly coffee-growing area of Nicaragua.
They wrote after reading Swansea-born Zeta's High Court evidence during her on-going case against Hello! She and actor husband Michael Douglas are suing the magazine for pounds 1m after it printed snatched photos from their wedding.
Zeta said: "I appreciate to most people pounds 1million is a very large sum of money...what was more important to us was ensuring that our wedding was not spoilt by media intrusion."
Lucy Maker - one of the hundred-plus Year 7 pupils from Plymouth's Notre Dame catholic school to write - said: "The children we want to help have no food and no money. Some have no family and no home. Please help them."
- ZETA was yesterday given the go-ahead to produce her first film. A production company has agreed to finance Coming Out, a comedy to be made in Wales about a rugby team.
