SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE TO HOST SEMINAR SERIES
 FOR HUMAN RESOURCES, APRIL 28 & 30
Surveys of local businesses conducted by Southwestern College (SWC) reveal that there is a growing demand to learn more about ethnic diversification, gender equity and disabled workers.
From maintaining diversity in the workforce to protecting the rights of disabled workers, there are many issues that impact businesses.
A practical overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will be held April 28. The seminar will discuss the impact that the employment provision of the act, which will become law on July 26, 1992, will have on small businesses. Coordinators are Tom Siegfried, rehabilitation counselor, and Tom Buford, attorney.
The April 30 workshop provides timely discussion on topics such as downsizing workforces without downsizing productivity, organizational restructuring and outplacement services. "Human Resource Management for Changing/Hard Times," which will be held on April 30, is coordinated by Carleen MacKay, consultant for Right Associates.
The seminars will be held at the San Diego Country Club, 88 "L" Street in Chula Vista. There is a $90 fee for each seminar. The fee includes lunch.
