       SOUTHWEST AIRLINES REPORTS TRAFFIC UP 20.0 PERCENT
    DALLAS, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Herbert D. Kelleher, chairman of the board and president of Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV), announced today that the company flew 949.4 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in January 1992, a 20 percent increase over the 791.5 million RPMs flown in January of last year.  Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 12.4 percent to 1,657.4 million from the January 1991 level of 1,475.2 million.  The load factor for the month was 57.3 percent, up 3.6 points from 1991.
