SOUTHWEST AIRLINES COMPLETES MORRIS AIR ACQUISITION

 DALLAS, Dec. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Morris Air Corporation. The acquisition was completed shortly after the parties received official notification from the Federal Trade Commission that the United States Department of Justice had completed its review of the transaction under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act, and that it would not oppose the
acquisition. Southwest acquired the outstanding stock of Salt Lake City-based Morris Air in exchange for approximately 3.6 million shares of Southwest's common stock.
