SOUTHLAND CORPORATION ANNOUNCES SENIOR MANAGEMENT CHANGES
DALLAS, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The Southland Corporation's president and chief executive officer, Clark J. Matthews, II, today announced the departures of three senior managers as part of the company's ongoing efforts to streamline its operations.
The three include Walton Grayson, III, executive vice president, administration and services; S. R. (Dick) Dole, executive vice president and chief operating officer, 7-Eleven stores; and Frank J. Gangi, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Matthews noted that all three positions have been eliminated and will not be replaced.
As noted in its year-end financial reports issued in March, Southland expects to continue its efforts to improve profitability over the coming months by aggressively reducing other general and administrative expenses to levels more consistent with its business environment.
The Southland Corporation's operations include over 6,300 7-Eleven and other convenience stores in the United States and Canada. In addition, licensees and affiliates operate more than 7,000 other 7-Eleven stores in parts of the U.S. and 18 other countries.
