SOUTHERN STARR NEGOTIATING FOR PURCHASE OF WAPI AM/FM, BIRMINGHAM, ALA.
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern Starr Broadcasting Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSBG) today announced that the company is negotiating with the Dittman Group for the acquisition of WAPI AM/FM in Birmingham, Ala. While preliminary agreement has been reached with the seller, final consummation is contingent upon several factors, including approval by the lender of certain terms and conditions of the asset purchase agreement. There can be no assurance at this time that the purchase will be accomplished. WAPI AM, a 50,000 watt station, is the oldest radio station in Alabama.
