SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON ANNOUNCES RELIEF PLAN FOR FIRE VICTIMS

ROSEMEAD, Calif., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern California Edison today announced a special program to waive electric bills for its customers who have lost their homes in this week's devastating fires. Those customers will not have to pay for electricity used between their last bill and the fire.
Residential customers whose homes have been destroyed in the fires should contact Edison at its toll-free line at 800-643-0517.
For other customers facing hardships as a result of the fires, Edison offers special payment arrangements. These customers should contact Edison at the number shown in the upper right hand corner of their electric bill, or listed in the white pages of the telephone directory under Southern California Edison.
Edison crews have been brought in from all over Southern California to work in the wake of the fires to restore service in damaged areas as quickly as possible.
Through its corporate employee volunteer program (VOICE), Edison is coordinating with cities and local relief agencies to send people and resources where they are needed most in the communities Edison serves.
