 RETAINS PUBLIC RELATIONS COUNSEL
 LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Southern California Cable Association (SCCA) has completed its search for a public relations agency announced Jim Petro, West Coast divisional manager for Colony Communications, who also serves as president of the SCCA.
 "Following an extensive year-long process, we have selected Campaign Management Inc. (CMI) to help us tell the economic success story the cable television industry has provided in Southern California, in a target-specific media relations program," Petro stated.
 CMI is an Orange County-based public affairs agency headed by Harvey Englander. The firm has worked extensively with local cable operators during the past two-and-a-half years providing public relations and public affairs counsel for the California Cable Television Association, Los Angeles Cable Operators Association, Orange County Cable Operators Association as well as individual cable companies.
 Bob Gold, Prime Ticket Network vice president of public relations, who also serves as the SCCA's board of directors public relations chair continued, "At a time when many area industries are facing an economic downturn, the cable industry provides strong employment growth and has a positive impact on Southern California's gross national product."
 The SCCA is comprised of 450 individual members representing cable television programmers and operators in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
