SOUTH COMSTOCK JOINT VENTURE COMMENCES GOLD PRODUCTION

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- BMR Gold Corp. (Toronto: BGL.) announced today the commencement of gold/silver production from its 50 percent owned South Comstock Joint Venture with the pouring of the first dore bullion. The Phase I production schedule calls for 2-3 pours per week yielding from 1,600 to 2,200 ounces gold and 10,000 ounces silver per month through the fall of 1994.
Phase II production is scheduled to start by the second quarter 1995 at a rate of approximately 3,700 ounces gold and 18,000 ounces silver monthly. Reserves developed to date are forecasted to generate a net operating cash flow of approximately US $30 million over a three-year mine life. The joint venture anticipates at least doubling this mine life as additional reserves are developed.
BMR also reported on developments for its other projects in the western United States. The America Mine joint venture with Nerco exploration has been terminated as a result of Nerco's parent deciding to divest its mining interests. BMR Gold has recovered its 100 percent working interest and has benefited from US $4 million expended by Nerco. Permitting for production from this project has been substantially advanced under Nerco's management.
A four-month field program to further delineate reserves on BMR's Crescent Valley, Nev. deposit has been completed. A mining plan which is targeting to commence commercial production by June 1994 is now in preparation.
The San Lazarus joint venture near Albuquerque, N.M. completed a 24-hole drill program which confirms a drill indicated reserve of 715,430 tons at 0.187 ounces per ton (134,000 ounces gold) on one target which represents 2.8 percent of the total area of the mineralized intrusive complex. The consultants report states, "The potential for additional gold at the San Lazarus property is considered excellent. The gold-bearing zone, partially delineated by the current program represents only one of several gold-bearing skarns which are present in the San Lazarus project area."
BMR is seeking qualified joint venture partners to fund and operate both the America Mine (California) and Madison (Montana), gold projects.
BMR Gold Corp. listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, trades under the symbol BGL. BMR is registered with the S.E.C. as a Foreign Private issuer.
