 Now Showing at SCES
"Mario is Missing!(TM)" is the first title in the Mario Learning Series and focuses on geography with Luigi searching for his beloved, but kidnapped brother, Mario, in 25 major cities around the world.
"Mario is Missing!" is being introduced on the Super NES and NES systems. A CD-ROM version, "Mario is Missing! CD Deluxe" is also featured and takes full advantage of the format's storage capacity with 30 cities and exciting multimedia features such as full-motion film clips, digitized voices and a music sound track.
"Mario is Missing!" was first released on MS-DOS in fall of 1992, and now boasts a new add-on "Mario is Missing! City Disk" to provide players with 10 additional cities to explore.
The newest title in the series, "Mario's Time Machine(TM)" will make its debut on MS-DOS. In "Mario's Time Machine" you will join the Mario Bros.(TM) on a wild ride as they relive great moments in history, learn about distant eras and the important events which shaped them.
Two Popular Plumbers Turn to Teaching
Over 40 million Mario game packs have sold since 1987, making the Mario Bros. characters the biggest names in video gaming history. Recognition of the Mario characters is phenomenal. A recent study reveals that with boys ages 6 through 11, identification of Mario outscored even Mickey Mouse. With that kind of following, the Mario Bros. are ideal characters to capture the imagination and teach children of all ages.
"We have created a product line that teaches children important skills in the familiar and engaging environment of their favorite characters," said Bob Lloyd, president of The Software Toolworks. He continued, "And now parents who want to utilize their household's game hardware and computers for their children's education have a product line that's automatically appealing."
