SOFTWARE MAGAZINE RECOGNIZES BROCK CONTROL SYSTEMS
AS A COMPANY TO WATCH IN TOP 100 SPECIAL ISSUE
ATLANTA, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Brock Control Systems, Inc. has been recognized as a Company to Watch in the Software Magazine Top 100 June special issue.
This exclusive ranking is compiled from responses to the magazine's annual survey and includes the leading 100 independent software vendors plus 31 companies identified by the editorial staff as Companies to Watch. The Top 100 listing is based on total worldwide packaged software revenues for the 1991 calendar year and encompasses license fees, maintenance and support.
Making the list for the first time, Brock ranks number 15 among the Companies to Watch in this year's Top 100. Software Magazine attributes part of the firm's healthy jump in software license fees to Brock's environmental compatibility with all major relational database management systems including Informix, Oracle, Progress, Sybase, Ingres and DEC's Rdb. In addition to supporting these environments, the Brock product is also compatible with numerous computers and operating systems including UNIX, MS-DOS and VMS, networks and communication devices, user interfaces and automated telephone equipment.
"Being listed as a Company to Watch in Software Magazine's Top 100 is quite an accolade," said Brock President Rodger L. Johnson. "Our success is the direct result of employing very talented people and providing superior products and services. It won't be long before Brock joins the Top 100 ranks."
Parallels between Brock and the Top 100 are strikingly similar. Like 63 percent of the Top 100 firms listed, Brock is an application software provider. The Brock product is also written and developed in the C language, as are the products of 87 percent of the Top 100. Another noteworthy similarity is that like many of the Top 100, Brock has recently introduced a Unix-based Graphical User Interface running the X-Window System.
The Brock Activity Manager Series(TM) is a system solution to automate and support the areas of database marketing, telemarketing, field sales automation, order processing and customer service. The product is a mission-critical business application offering the competitive edge to companies understanding the strategic value of an automated, integrated business environment.
Brock's cross-industry client base of more than 700 customers and 12,000 individual users represents the largest installed base of multi- user systems in the industry. The privately held company provides an integrated family of software products offering "closed-loop" information management for sales, marketing and customer service in more than 15 different countries using seven different languages. Headquartered in Atlanta, Brock has offices in Los Angeles and affiliate offices in Australia, Belgium, Germany, England, France, Italy, New Zealand and Sweden.
