SOAP STARS HAVE A BALL.

Soap star Lesley Fitzsimmons is going for goal to make a disabled birthday boy's dreams come true.

Lesley is among a team of stars donning their boots for a charity football match.

And it will give Shaun Lawrence, of Bathgate, West Lothian, the chance to lead out his heroes including Darren Jackson and Tommy Burns.

The 10-year-old, who has cerebral palsy, will be mascot at next Sunday's fund raiser between charity team Dukla Pumpherston, picked by football pundit Chick Young, and the cast from TV's High Road at Livingston's Almondbank Stadium.

The 12.30pm game has been organised to raise funds for Trefoil House, the Gogarbank holiday centre for people with disabilities.

Organiser Hope Wight-man said: "There couldn't be a better way for Shaun to celebrate his birthday."
