DISTRACTED Lewis Hamilton fooled around on his phone as drivers discussed the Japanese Grand Prix live on TV.

It was in stark contrast to his dark mood when his engine blew during the Malysian Grand Prix last weekend and he hinted at sabotage from his Mercedes team.

He trails team-mate Nico Rosberg by 23 points in the title race, but he wiped away tears of laughter using his sleeve as he uploaded a number of short videos to his Snapchat account during his appearance yesterday.

Using an application on his phone, Hamilton (left) posted a video in which he was "wearing" drawn-on rabbit ears, whiskers and carrots, accompanied with the words: "This s*** is killing me."
