SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Smith's Food & Drug Centers Inc. (NYSE: SFD) announced today that Robert D. Bolinder will continue to work with the chief financial officer on investor relations.
Matthew G. Tezak, senior vice president of finance, has been appointed chief financial officer. He will be responsible for all the finance, accounting and MIS functions of the company.
In making the announcements, Jeff Smith, chairman and chief executive officer, said, "These changes give the company additional strength in areas of development as Smith's continues its aggressive expansion program. It's a natural progression for both financial officers."
Bolinder is former president and vice chairman of the board of Albertson's Inc., where he spent 20 years before joining Smith's. He serves as a director for the Food Marketing Institute in Washington. Tezak has spent 13 years with Smith's Food & Drug Centers working in finance and accounting management.
