SME ready to induct Class of 2000 Fellows.
Seven members will be honored as SME fellows for their outstanding contributions to the manufacturing profession. As a Fellow of the Society, each inductee may use the designation FSME after his name.
The new fellows are: Russell F Henke, PhD, PE, COO of TechniCon Computer Services, Emeryville, CA; Michael J Kelly, DEng, an independent consultant based in Burbank, CA; Jay Lee DSc, serves on the faculty of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as Wisconsin Distinguished and Rockwell Automation Professor of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering; KP Rajurkar, PhD, is Mohr professor of engineering, also founder and director, Nontraditional Manufacturing Research Center, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; W Edward Red, PhD, professor of mechanical engineering at Brigham Young University, Provo, UT; Robert C Voigt, PhD, professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering at Pennsylvania State University (University Park); and Emory W Zimmers Jr, PhD, professor of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.
Nominations for the 2001 Class of Fellows are now being accepted and must be received no later than December 1, 2000.
