SMALL BITES A BIT OF NEW YORK, A TOUCH OF FRANCE.

Byline: - Larry Lipson

What's up next on the Sunset Strip?

It's steak from a hot Gotham restaurant and sushi with a French accent.

The shuttered Le Dome, 8720 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, once a true rendezvous of the stars, is due to be replaced by BLT Steak from New York City.

BLT stands for Bistro Laurent Tourondel, the chef-partner of a trio of BLT restaurants in Manhattan, the others being BLT Prime and BLT Fish.

Meanwhile, to the east on the Strip, Hadaka Sushi replaces Wacky Waffles at 8226 Sunset Blvd.

With its "French bordello" looks, Hadaka will purvey the creations of chef Edward Brik, previously at Tiger Lily, Blowfish Sushi, Wolfgang Puck Catering and Bradley Ogden, Las Vegas.

BLT Steak, scheduled to open here this summer, "attracts a sleek, moneyed crowd" at its East 57th Street address, according to New York City's Zagat Survey.

Zagat describes its fare as "melt-in-your-mouth meat and excellent sides," also "steep prices."

Hadaka Sushi plans to open on March 25.

But it's expected to open its doors quietly by the end of this month and then have an official grand opening in April.

And Graciela, the secluded Burbank hotel at 322 Pass Ave. has new ownership, a dining lounge open to the public for dinner and a new menu.
