SKYWEST REORGANIZATION FOCUSES ON CUSTOMER

 SKYWEST REORGANIZATION FOCUSES ON CUSTOMER
ST. GEORGE, Utah, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest Airlines'

(NASDAQ: SKYW) reorganization this week was effected to put more emphasis on the customer. Company officials said today the new structure not only makes the airline more competitive but, equally important, refocuses its efforts on its customer.
SkyWest's Director of Customer Relations Kelly Mumford has been appointed to head all programs enhancing service to the airline's customers. Mumford will assume marketing programs to more effectively mold them to the customers' needs under a newly created Customer Services Division. The new division will be responsible for service from point of sale to customer retention programs.
"As the airline industry continues to stagger under the weight of extensive discounting and monumental losses, SkyWest's move to cut costs will not come at the expense of customer service," said SkyWest Senior Vice President Marketing and Customer Service Ron Reber. "Obviously, safety is, and will always be, our primary concern; add service, value, reliability and you have success in our business."
Mumford has been with SkyWest Airlines for 14 years, having worked in several capacities. "Her experience gives her a profound insight to our customer's needs," said Reber. "Her staff is the best of the best; from consumer affairs, marketing and customer service, each member brings a different perspective to the table."
The reorganization follows news earlier this week announcing the elimination of 25 of the airline's 1,450 positions. Many of the managers and staff support displaced by the move are remaining with the company in other capacities. "The people affected by this cut have played important roles in our development," said Human Resources Vice President Mike Callahan. "We owe them a great deal and intend to give them exactly that."
SkyWest Airlines operates as a Delta Connection carrier, serving 42 cities in eight western states.
