SKYWEST INC. REPORTS FISCAL 1993 ANNUAL RESULTS, FILES REGISTRATION STATEMENT WITH SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION

 ST. GEORGE, Utah, May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: SKYW) today reported record net income of $6,704,000, or $1.27 per share, for the fiscal year ended March 31, 1993, compared to $1,986,000 or $.38 per share, for the previous fiscal year. Operating revenues increased 17.1 percent to $146,800,000 in fiscal 1993, compared to $125,310,000 in fiscal 1992. Passengers carried increased 15.6 percent to 1,523,384, from 1,317,693 the previous year. The reported earnings per share do not give effect to the company's 50 percent stock dividend (one share for each two shares outstanding) payable to stockholders of record on April 22, 1993, and distributable on May 10, 1993.
 Commenting on the results, Bradford R. Rich, senior vice president-Finance, chief financial officer and treasurer, said, "We are obviously pleased to report records in passengers carried and net income in fiscal 1993. We have strengthened our financial and market position by focusing on the continued coordination of our schedules with Delta and strengthening our identity as a Delta Connection carrier. We have also benefited from cost reduction programs without compromising our commitment to superior customer service."
 SkyWest also announced today the filing of a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed offering of 1,875,000 shares of common stock by SkyWest. The registration statement includes an underwriters' over-allotment option to purchase an additional 281,250 shares. The Robinson- Humphrey Co. Inc. and Prudential Securities Inc. are the managing underwriters of the proposed offering.
 A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
