SKYWEST AIRLINES REPORTS RECORD ENPLANEMENTS -- AGAIN
ST. GEORGE, Utah., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest Delta

Connection (NASDAQ: SKYW) again reported record enplanements for the month of July 1992. The airline boarded 133,439 passengers during the month, a 23.1 percent increase over the same month last year.
The airline also broke revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and available seat miles (ASMs) records. RPMs increased 25.3 percent over the prior year to reach 26 million while ASMs increased 9.2 percent over 1991 to just under 57 million. These figures resulted in a load factor of 45.7 percent, an increase of 5.9 percentage points over last year.
SkyWest Senior Vice President Marketing Ron Reber said July is normally a challenging month, but Independence Day falling on a Saturday mitigated its impact on business traffic. "We are getting much better at managing our seat inventory and taking advantage of value pricing's traffic stimulation and flexibility," said Reber. "We'll be disappointed if we don't surpass these records in August."
SkyWest Airlines operates as a Delta Connection carrier under a marketing agreement with Delta Airlines. The regional airline serves 42 cities in the western United States. Operating 50 aircraft, the airline completes more than 510 flights daily.
