SKYWEST AIRLINES REPORTS JUNE TRAFFIC

ST. GEORGE, Utah, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest Delta Connection reported near-record enplanements for the month of June 1993. The airline boarded 139,613 passengers during the month, a 6.3 percent increase over the same month last year and just 2,000 shy of last August's record.
The airline continued its growth pattern with a load factor of 46.5 percent, an increase of 1.5 percentage points over the prior year. Revenue passenger mile (RPM) growth also continued to outpace available seat mile (ASM) growth. RPMs grew 8.9 percent to 27.3 million, while ASMs grew 5.4 percent to 58.6 million.
"Our primary hubs in Los Angeles and Salt Lake performed well in June," said SkyWest Senior Vice President Marketing Ron Reber. "In addition, our secondary West Coast markets continue to develop as we replace Metroliner service with cabin-class Brasilias."
SkyWest Airlines (NASDAQ: SKYW) operates as a Delta Connection under a marketing agreement with Delta Airlines. The regional airline serves 42 cities in the western United States. Operating 50 aircrafts, the airline completes more than 510 flights daily.
