SKYLINE ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL ASSAYS FROM AZTEC PORPHYRY DEPOSIT

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Ronald C. Shon, chairman and chief executive officer of Skyline Gold Corp. (Vancouver, Toronto: SKX), has announced that reconnaissance mapping and sampling has located additional high-grade zones within the company's Aztec porphyry deposit in northern Mexico. The property is located 230 miles west of San Antonio and is 28 miles south of the U.S./Mexico border. The property is well-situated with respect to infrastructure and is within four miles of the Mexican State Highway and 250 miles from the copper smelter at Monterrey, Mexico.
The newly discovered, polymetallic base and precious metal deposit is characterized by intrusives, oxidized brecciated cappings derived from copper sulfides, intense silicification and sericite alteration, a pyritic halo and peripheral skarn type mineralization.
Copper, lead, zinc and silver mineralization are located along a 1.5 kilometer trend in two large breccias, the largest of which is 660 feet wide and 1,150 feet long, and in a series of smaller breccias and shear zones. Breccia No. 1 is cut by silver veins, a sample of which graded 44.5 oz/T of silver. A unique feature of Breccia No. 2 is a mineralized dyke which cuts through the breccia. Dykes are typically barren.
60 percent - 75 percent of copper reserves worldwide are located in porphyry deposits with a grade of 1 percent copper considered a rich deposit.

The Aztec joint venture is acquiring additional property in the area and is currently preparing an exploration program. The program will include topographical mapping, geochemcial and geophysical exploration and detailed geologic mapping. Work is expected to commence in April.
