SKYBOX INTERNATIONAL INC. ANNOUNCES USA BASKETBALL COLLECTOR CARD SERIES
 MAGIC JOHNSON & SON ANDRE TO APPEAR IN TV ADVERTISING
 RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyBox International Inc. is releasing a trading card series solely dedicated to the 1992 USA Basketball Team timed with the onset of this summer's much anticipated international basketball competition. To promote the set, USA Basketball star Magic Johnson and his son, Andre, will be featured in a highly visible television advertising campaign.
 "SkyBox International is pulling out all the stops because this will be the greatest team ever assembled," said Johnson, who was recently signed as a corporate spokesperson for SkyBox International Inc. "The 1992 USA Basketball Team is sure to capture the attention of all Americans this summer."
 The 110-card series will include nine player profile cards of each of the first 10 NBA players named to the team, two cards of each coach, and two checklists. The set, which is the first-ever full-bleed NBA basketball card, also includes a "Magic On" subset, which represents Johnson's thoughts on his teammates.
 As a special bonus, wax packs will include randomly inserted cards autographed by Johnson and USA Basketball teammate David Robinson, as well as a first-ever plastic trading card featuring a USA Basketball Team photo.
 The nine cards of each player showcase different aspects of their career. Eight of the categories include: NBA Update, NBA Rookie, Game Strategy, NBA Best Game, Off The Court, NBA Playoffs, NBA All-Star Record, and NBA Shooting. The ninth category will be personalized to highlight a special talent of each player.
 To promote the card line, SkyBox will implement its most aggressive advertising campaign to date between June and August. A television commercial starring Johnson, and the debut of his son Andre, will hit the airwaves in June. The light-hearted spot features the father and son trading USA Basketball Collector Cards to complete the best team ever assembled. The spot humorously ends with Andre telling Magic that he will start John Stockton and sit Magic on the bench.
 "The commercial truly brings out Magic's youthful charisma and conveys the fun aspects of collecting USA Basketball cards," said Frank O'Connell, president and CEO of SkyBox International Inc. "The chemistry between Magic and Andre is magical. Even though this is Andre's TV debut, we are all amazed with his star-like qualities."
 In addition to Johnson, the other players featured in the USA Basketball Collector Card Series are: Charles Barkley (Philadelphia 76ers); Larry Bird (Boston Celtics); Patrick Ewing (New York Knicks); Michael Jordan (Chicago Bulls); Karl Malone (Utah Jazz); Chris Mullin (Golden State Warriors); Scottie Pippen (Chicago Bulls); David Robinson (San Antonio Spurs); and John Stockton (Utah Jazz).
 The cards will be packed in 8-card wax packs and carry a suggested retail price of $1.99 each. They will reach retail on June 15.
