 SK TECHNOLOGIES TO EXPAND ITS SALES AND MARKETING ACTIVITIES
 BOCA RATON, Fla., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Randy S. Selman, chairman of SK Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: SKTC), today reported that the company is instituting a wide-ranging program directed at significantly expanding its sales and marketing activities. The program calls for an expansion of its sales and marketing staff with the addition of several new sales representatives, a number of whom will operate out of the company's headquarters in Boca Raton, Fla. as part of SK's in-house telemarketing program. Other new sales representatives will direct their efforts to the Los Angeles, Chicago and New York metropolitan areas.
 Selman further noted that the company will be expanding its advertising activities in an effort to create greater awareness among retail store owners of its StoreKare retail point-of-sale (POS) software. To that effect, SK has selected Greenstone Roberts Advertising/Florida to handle its national advertising account. A particular emphasis will be placed on developing greater penetration of major vertical markets, including photography/camera stores, health food stores, greeting card and gift shops, and bicycle stores.
 The company also announced it has recently received several orders for its StoreKare POS software. Among the more renown companies placing orders are National Health & Nutrition, a chain of 50 health food stores; and Daytimers, the largest manufacturer and direct marketer of business-oriented planner-organizers in the United States. In addition, SK will be piloting 6 stores with Rag Shops, Inc., a publicly held 54 store chain of crafts, fabric and floral.
 Commenting further, Selman said, "This planned increase in activity and expansion of our staff is directly related to the recent introduction of Version 2.4 of StoreKare. The new features added to this latest version of our POS software have been well received by both customers and the industry in general. Moreover, these orders attest to the growing popularity of our product. As such, we will seek to capitalize on the momentum and initial interest that has developed for our product in a relatively short period of time. Also, the planned increase in our sales force is expected to create an added level of support to our Master Dealers, as well as our overall dealer network and existing customer base. With respect to our Master Dealer program, during fiscal 1992 the company signed several Master Dealer agreements, and we expect to begin recognizing revenue from this program in fiscal 1993."
