SIXTY EIGHT THOUSAND INC. ANNOUNCES PRIVATE PLACEMENT

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Sixty Eight Thousand Inc. (OTC: SIXY), formerly Macintosh Corp., announced today that it had signed a letter of intent with M.S. Farrell & Co. Inc., an investment banking firm located at 67 Wall St., New York, to raise a minimum of $500,000, and a maximum of $2,000,000 in a private placement of securities. The offering will only be made by prospectus and then only to qualified investors in certain states.
The offering consists of a minimum of five and a maximum of 20 units, each unit consisting of 40,000 shares of the common stock valued at $1 per share, a $60,000-face-value three-year nine-percent debenture and five-year warrants to purchase 10,000 shares of common stock at $2 per share. Sixty Eight Thousand has approximately 2.6 million shares outstanding prior to the offering and will have 2.9 million shares outstanding if the minimum offering is successful, and 3.5 million shares outstanding after the maximum offering.
According to Joe McDowell, chairman, terms of the letter of intent call for the minimum to be raised no later than May 14, 1993, and the offering will terminate June 30, 1993, unless mutually extended. McDowell said the company had introduced its new product, the Dash 40Q workstation, at MacWorld in San Francisco in January 1993, and that the proceeds of the offering would be used for expenses associated with this new product's introduction and promotion.
Sixty Eight Thousand Inc. designs, assembles and sells computer workstations which are primarily sold to the publishing industry in the pre-press and color separation portions of the market.
