SIU nabs eight outlaws.
Islamabad -- The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad Police has arrested eight suspects allegedly involved in various crimes.
They were allegedly involved in robbery, burglaries, street crime and recovered stolen valuables, cash worth millions of rupees, stolen vehicle, electronic equipment and weapons from their possession. The robbers have been identified as Sajjad, Mohib, Sajid Mehmud, residents of Islamabad and Farhan, a resident of Havelian, Tasawar Hussain alias Kalu, Abbass Ali and Imran alias Mani, residents of Kamuki district Gujranwala.
SP (Investigation) Mohammad Ilyas had constituted a team headed by DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon to arrest the robbers and the SIU team nabbed them during different raids in different areas.
The robbers confessed to commit robbers at the houses of Ali Nawaz, Ramazan Sajid, Ghulam Rasool Leghari, Ahmed Raza Khan, Sajid Basheer and Naveed Hussain Shah, Syed Adeel Haider.
The police also recovered 16 mobile phones, four LEDs, two computers, three heaters, 20 suits, three 30 bore pistols and several other looted items from their possession.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani appreciated the SIU team and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for policemen in of the teams.
