SINT-ANNENDAEL HOSPITAL DEPLOYS NETLINK WIRELESS PHONES.
Sint-Annendael selected SpectraLink's NetLink Wireless Telephones because the system easily and seamlessly integrated with their newly purchased Avaya Definity PBX and their network of Avaya Wi-Fi wireless LAN access points. Sint-Annendael partnered with A2Z Solutions, a system integrator based in Belgium, which provided the NetLink Wireless Telephone installation and training.
NetLink Wireless Telephones bring newfound mobility to Sint-Annendael's medical staff, who previously were limited to using beepers and returning pages on wired telephones at nurses' stations, which was time consuming, lacked privacy, and caused response-time delays.
"We are extremely excited about the benefits we already are seeing from our NetLink Wireless Telephones, which have made patient care dramatically more efficient," said Wolfgang Wauters, IT manager for Sint-Annendael. "Staff communications have improved in every way throughout our hospital and the interoperability of the NetLink system allows us opportunities for the future build-out of our network."
"Sint-Annendael is making significant technology investments to deal with the demanding communication needs that are critical to the healthcare industry," said Mike Cronin, vice president of sales and marketing for SpectraLink. "Sint-Annendael researched the market thoroughly for its new voice communication system and were pleased with the functionality of our handsets to facilitate communications in their hospital, freeing employees' time to focus on patient care."
SpectraLink's NetLink Wireless Telephone portfolio is designed to meet the communication needs for enterprises of any size in an array of industries. NetLink Wireless Telephones operate as client devices on wireless LANs utilizing the IEEE 802.11b global standard, allowing converged mobile voice and data applications on a single wireless infrastructure. NetLink Wireless Telephones integrate with the best-selling PBX systems, and support proprietary IP protocols as well as H.323 for enterprise wireless VoIP solutions.
