 SILICON GRAPHICS COMPLETES REPURCHASE OF COMPAQ SHARES
 MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- On Jan. 21, 1992 Silicon Graphics Inc. (NYSE: SGI) announced it had reached agreement with Compaq Computer Corp. to repurchase all 135,000 shares of its Series C Convertible Preferred Stock and to complete the transaction prior to July 31, 1992. The company repurchased the shares today for $150 million, the estimated value of the stock on the date of the agreement, plus accrued dividends. Each share was convertible into 20 shares of Silicon Graphics' common stock, representing 12 percent of the company's outstanding shares.
