 SIEMENS STROMBERG-CARLSON ESTABLISHES REGIONAL
 CUSTOMER SUPPORT CENTERS
BOCA RATON, Fla., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- With an emphasis on customer responsiveness, Siemens Stromberg-Carlson has created two Regional Customer Support Centers, located in Hoffman Estates, Ill. and Reston, Va., to serve customers Ameritech and Bell Atlantic respectively.
Each of the Regional Customer Support Centers will be headed by a regional vice president reporting directly to Anton Hasholzner, president and CEO of Siemens Stromberg-Carlson. Daryl Eigen has been appointed regional vice president for the center serving Ameritech. Hans van Welzen will take responsibility as regional vice president for the Bell Atlantic Center.
Daryl Eigen has almost 20 years of experience in telecommunications, and was most recently vice president of Bell Operating Company sales. Since joining Siemens in 1984, he has held a variety of positions in marketing, product planning and product line management.
Hans van Welzen, formerly vice president of manufacturing, has extensive experience in operations and customer support. During his 25 years in the telecommunications industry, he has held positions in manufacturing, sales, marketing, customer service and customer engineering.
"Both vice presidents have a keen understanding of customer requirements," said Anton Hasholzner. "And with the full support of our Florida-based organization, they will marshal the resources of customer service, sales and marketing to assure customer satisfaction. By locating the support centers close to our customer sites, we are reinforcing the value of customer partnership, and providing single-contact availability for our customers."
Siemens Stromberg-Carlson designs, develops and manufactures a complete line of digital voice and data products, as well as transmission products. Based in Boca Raton, Fla., the company has manufacturing and other functional groups in Lake Mary, Fla., and Albuquerque, N.M.
